A stroke of luck for our industry
Ünlü Tekstil General Manager Oğuz Açıkgöz, who has used argemas as their production management system for 10 years, said: "Actually, from the very first time I spoke with argemas, I always said this: this is what was needed. In the basket system you can easily see it from the basket, from the device in front of the machinist and from the reports."

Saying that in textile every operation's duration differs, which makes line balancing hard, Gür said: "The most important feature of the basket system is that it lets us see the bottlenecks and solve them."
We can catch defects early
Stating that with the basket system they catch a defect before it reaches the end of the line, Gür said: "In process (in-line) quality control we check 7 units per basket. A basket holds 20. At most 20 can be defective. In the traditional system, 200 defective products can travel all the way to the end of the line. With the basket system, the most important feature of the argemas system is that you see the defect early, intervene early and prevent it from reaching the end of the line."
The bonus system
Underlining that the bonus system is the sine qua non of the system, Gür said: "A bonus motivates people and means extra income for employees. I have worked in this system for many years, as line chief, floor manager and now manufacturing manager. At every one of these stages I saw how important the effect of the bonus system is."
