@rgeHypatia: IoT Data Collection Terminal for Production

Watch on YouTube

@rgeHypatia is an industrial touchscreen data collection terminal developed by Arge Bilişim. It withstands the industrial environment and communicates wirelessly within it with ease. It can be used in every data collection area: operator, machine, quality control and material quality control.

Hardware

It collects data in real time through digital and analog inputs, barcode and QR code, RS-232 and USB, and connects instantly over Wi-Fi. It plays video, audio and image files, with sound through the rear speaker or headphone output. Five LEDs sit on the front.

Alongside Wi-Fi it carries a strong RF communication layer with a range of roughly 5 kilometres. Data collection therefore continues even when Wi-Fi drops or is absent.

Operator screen

The operator taps their photo and enters their number to sign in, picks the current operation from the operation list and reports work by tapping the number of the bundle just completed. The same bundle cannot be reported twice; data integrity is enforced.

The screen shows order and product information, operation details, the operator's own performance and efficiency, inline and end-of-line quality results, and their bonus. On request the operator can look up history, the product photo, product measurements and operation or product videos. For a machine breakdown, a request to speak with management or an improvement idea, the operator contacts the relevant unit directly from the terminal.

Lost time and line balance

The operator presses "start lost time" and selects the type; for a machine breakdown a timer starts and maintenance is notified. Any number of lost-time types, such as waiting for work, can be defined; scanning a bundle ends lost time automatically.

Green, white and red LEDs show efficiency and quality status: steady light indicates efficiency, blinking indicates quality. The blue LED shows line-balance status; if there is an imbalance it lights or blinks depending on the type of problem. The supervisor's most important job is to turn the blue LED off.
