@rgemas Subcontract Tracking Module: Every Piece Sent Out Is on Record
Subcontract tracking follows the fabric, accessories and semi-finished goods sent from the main factory to a subcontract workshop, the operations performed there and the returned product, in terms of quantity, quality and cost. On the shop floor it is called the subcontract tracking program; in technical documents, subcontract tracking software or the MES subcontract module.
Why closed loop?
What matters is that it works as a closed loop: if the quantity sent, the operations completed at the workshop and the quantity returned do not reconcile, waste and shortages stay invisible. Tracking run on spreadsheets and delivery notes depends on people's memory for that reconciliation; as the number of workshops grows, so does the loss.
What the module covers
The argemas subcontract module covers dispatch to the workshop with RFID- or barcode-tagged shipment items, recording of the operations performed there manually or from a connected system, quality and quantity verification on receipt, subcontract cost calculation and a subcontractor performance scorecard. The process is tracked by order, model and colour-size breakdown; which workshop worked on which operation, for how long and at what quality is reported.
What it delivers
Quantities sent and returned verify each other; waste and shortages show up immediately. Workshop-level time and quality scorecards let subcontract allocation be made on data. Subcontract cost is calculated per order and can be compared with in-house production cost.
